Special Award: The "Takes Out an Onion" Prize For Making The Judge Cry

Woody Guthrie
For "This Land is Your Land" at Priddy Folk Festival

Chris Rickets
For "The Leaving of Liverpool" at Bristol Folk House

Luke Jackson
For "The Big Hill", "Bakers Woods", "How Does It Feel", "Wayfarin' Stranger" and, well, everything, basically.

And the winner is...

The ghost of Woody Guthrie, as channelled by the remarkable Will Kaufman.

(This is is reconstruction of the Guthrie's original version of the song, based on his hand written MS. Kaufman followed this with Steve Earle's "Christmas in Washington". Truly, not a dry eye in the house.)
